| Senior Software Engineer (1 position) |
| Technical Requirements: |
- 8+ years experience in designing and implementing large, distributed, web-based or client/server system.
- 4+ years experience as the key architect of a commercial product with a distributed system architecture
- Deep knowledge in concurrency control, data structures, algorithms, and scale-out software architecture
- Deep knowledge of database systems, transaction management, and object relational mapping concepts
- Strong skills in analyzing, measuring, and optimizing complexity, scalability, and performance

| The Sales Engineer is the primary technical resource for the Cloupia cloud technology products. Sales Engineers are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process. The Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. Must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle. Able to work with direct customers as well as channel partners to ensure successful demos, trials and proof of concepts. |
| Responsibilities |
- Develop and deliver product demonstrations
- Identify and overcome any technical challenges identified during the sales process
- Manage and respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
- Provision and support Proof-of-Concepts and Sales Trials
- Convey customer requirements to Product Management teams
- Up to 25% travel

| Qualifications |
- 4+ years relevant experience in technology vendor sales
- Proven track record in software sales and knowledge of technology
- Experience and familiarity with the virtualization/Cloud computing/IT systems management marketplace
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Organized and analytical; able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
- Self-motivated and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a start-up technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base
